Amazon unveils Starlink rival capable of up to 1 Gbps satellite internet — Leo Ultra is an enterprise-grade terminal with 400 Mbps upload speeds

Amazon has introduced Leo Ultra, a high-throughput terminal for its satellite internet service, now named Amazon Leo. Leo Ultra offers download speeds of up to 1 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 400 Mbps, with a full-duplex phased-array system. The device is part of Amazon's enterprise-grade hardware lineup, with plans for initial customer deployments in 2025 and broader availability in 2026. Amazon also showcased two other terminals, Leo Pro and Leo Nano, all running on custom Amazon silicon. The Leo network aims to integrate with AWS infrastructure, offering Direct to AWS links for cloud workloads.
